Revolutionary Coworking Honor Code

Your access and use of Revolutionary Coworking and its Services are subject to the terms of this Honor Code (“the Code”) as defined herein and in the Revolutionary Coworking Membership Agreement (“the Agreement).

 

1. Maintaining the Culture of Revolutionary Coworking and Access of Use

Revolutionary Coworking strives to engender a culture of entrepreneurship, collaboration, and inclusiveness in all of its endeavors. Maintaining a beneficial workspace for local professionals is of paramount importance for the growth of Revolutionary Coworking, its Members, and their businesses.

 

As such, it is required that all Members comport themselves honorably amongst their peers, other Members and their employees and guests, and Revolutionary Coworking staff and employees.

 

Member access and use of Revolutionary Coworking Services are subject the Code as defined herein and in the Agreement. Any violation of the terms, conditions, and notices of the Code and the Agreement shall result in the immediate termination of the Agreement and access to Services.

 

Members hereby represent and warrant that they are over Eighteen (18) years of age and that they have all requisite legal power and authority to enter into the Code and the Agreement and abide the terms and conditions of this Code and no further authorization or approval is necessary. Members further represent and warrant that their participation or use of the Services shall not conflict with or result in any breach of any license, contract, agreement, or other instrument or obligation to which the Member is a party.

2. Authorize Use of Workspace and Services

As a condition of use, the Services and Workspace of Revolutionary Coworking must be accessed only by methods provided and approved by Revolutionary Coworking. Members may not attempt to gain access by any unauthorized means to the Services, Workspace, or other Members’ information.

 

The use of the Services and Workspace by Members shall not inhibit any other Member’s use or enjoyment of the Services and Workspace. In addition, a Member’s use of the Services and Workspace may not damage, disable, or otherwise impair Revolutionary Coworking’s equipment, supplies, internet network, premises, or any physical infrastructure used to provide the Services. This condition shall include any systems, services, and infrastructure Revolutionary Coworking connects to or utilizes to provide the Services. These conditions apply during events and/or activities sponsored or conducted by Revolutionary Coworking, even when such events and/or activities do not occur on Revolutionary Coworking premises.

 

As a condition of Member use of the Services and Workspace, Members agree that, when participating in or using the Services and Workspace, they shall not:

 

a.  Violate any code of conduct or other guideline which may be applicable for any particular Service as may be further defined in the Agreement;

b.  Collect, harvest, or otherwise gather information about other Members, including email addresses, without the authorization or consent of that Member;

c.  Use the Services or Workspace in connection with any violation of local, state, or Federal law or regulation;

d.  Partially or fully obstruct any hallway, entrance, or exit;

e.  Create any circumstance of disrepair or damage to any Revolutionary

Coworking property or premises;

f. Bring any pets into Revolutionary Coworking premises, events, or activities, with the exception of approved assistance animals;

g.  Harm others.

3. Confidentiality

 

Members acknowledge that during the course of their use of the Services and Workspace there may, and likely shall be, unintended disclosures of confidential information from other Members utilizing the Services and Workspace.

“Confidential information” shall mean, without any limitation whatever:

a.  Personal, professional, or business information which would reasonably or logically be considered confidential or proprietary;

b.  Personal, professional, or business information which is typically not disclosed to third parties;

c.  Personal, professional, or business information which would likely, or have a tendency to, expose the disclosing Member to embarrassment, ridicule, or any type of injury or damage, whether or such injury or damage would be calculable for the purposes or personal liability.

 

Members agree that such disclosures of whatever nature grant that Member no rights or privileges to such information and that such information remains the sole property of the disclosing Member.

 

Members further agree that such confidential information shall be maintained in the strictest of confidence, and shall not be disclosed by that Member to any third party. Members agree to protect such confidential information with the same degree of care as they would normally exercise in the protection of their own confidential and proprietary information, but in no case with any less degree than reasonable care.

 

Members agree not to utilize such confidential information for any purpose, including but not limited to a business or professional purpose, or a purpose related to any potential economic gain, or to exploit such information in any way whatever.

 

Members further agree to hold harmless and indemnify Revolutionary Coworking for any claims, losses, costs, fees, liabilities, damages, or injuries arising out of the disclosure of that Member’s confidential information or their use of the disclosed confidential information of another Member.

4. Dress Code

Revolutionary Coworking is the place in Fayetteville to conduct business and carry forward the entrepreneurial spirit of its Members. Growing businesses, building professional networks, and bettering the lives of Members through hard work are just a few of the benefits coworking offers.

 

Mode of dress may vary depending upon the business activities of individual Members and will necessarily vary from casual to professional. However, the appearance of one Member may, and often does, reflect upon others.

 

As such, Members agree that Revolutionary Coworking is no place for pajamas, loungewear, bedgowns, foundation garments, or similar clothing or accoutrement. Anything that Members wear to bed should not be worn to Revolutionary Coworking. When Members come, they come to work!

5. Prohibition Against Illegal and Immoral Activities

Revolutionary Coworking, its premises, workspace, and Services are held open to all Members for coworking and professional business activities. Members, their businesses, and Revolutionary Coworking itself will welcome many people of many different walks of life in order to conduct business. The protection and safety of Revolutionary Coworking’s workspace, premises, events, and activities for the benefit of its Members is of the utmost concern.

 

As such, all Members agree that they shall not conduct any activity which is in direct violation of local, state, or Federal law or regulations, or any activity which would serve to disrupt and/or alienate Members’ use and enjoyment of Revolutionary Coworking, its premises, workspace, events, or activities, whether by legal or illegal activities, including but not limited to:

 

a.  The use, sale, or distribution of illicit substances;

b.  Using words, phrases, gestures, or any form of communication of whatever form, that causes other Members, their guests and employees, or Revolutionary Coworking staff or employees to be put in fear of imminent bodily harm or jeopardy;

c.  Engaging in slavery, human trafficking, child slavery, or any other form of economic or physical human bondage;

d.  Facilitating the corruption of minors by the distribution of alcohol, employing minors not eligible for employment by virtue of age in this or any jurisdiction, or by any other activity which can, by reason or logic, serve to corrupt or indignify minors;

e.  Engaging in illegal hiring practices;

f. Engaging in activities relating to or the encouragement of the violent or otherwise belligerent overthrow of the United States government and/or the governments of the several states and United States territories and Commonwealths;

g.  Encouraging in any way, either through illegal or legal and otherwise constitutionally protected activities, the adoption of a fascist form of government in the United States and/or the governments of the several states and United States territories and Commonwealths;

h.  Encouraging in any way, either through illegal or legal and otherwise constitutionally protected activities, the adoption of apartheid or any other form of institutionalized racial segregation and discrimination in the United States and/or the governments of the several states and United States territories and Commonwealths;

i. Engaging in the ridicule, embarrassment, or ill-treatment of any Member, their employees or guests, or Revolutionary Coworking staff or employees, based upon their race, ethnicity, age, sex, gender, sexuality, religion, health, handicap, or national origin;

j. Utilize any Service provided by Revolutionary Coworking, including but not limited to internet access provided to Members, in furtherance of any of

the above.

6. Communal and Courteous Behavior

Revolutionary Coworking is for all Members, their employees, and guests, for all to enjoy the benefits of a shared, communal, and professional working environment.

 

As a condition of Member use of the Services, Members agree to the following terms and conditions regarding the standards of use of the Services and Revolutionary Coworking workspace and premises:

 

a.  Members shall maintain a professional, non-disruptive demeanor during their use of the Services;

b.  Members shall treat other Members, their employees, and guests, as well as Revolutionary Coworking staff and employees, with respect at all times;

c.  Members agree that they shall not directly solicit other Members to purchase their services, however, Members are otherwise free to transact with one another and are encouraged to utilize each other’s services and businesses;

d. Members understand that they are accountable for the conduct of themselves, their employees, and guests that they may bring onto Revolutionary Coworking’s premises and workspace;

e.  Members shall maintain a clean workspace and shall cooperate with the efforts of Revolutionary Coworking staff and employees to ensure that the premises and workspace are kept to a high degree of cleanliness and orderliness;

f. Members shall not play any music in a manner that disturbs other Members, their employees, and their guests, or Revolutionary Coworking staff and employees;

g.  Members understand that Revolutionary Coworking premises and workspace are completely non-smoking environments;

h.  Members agree to keep the coffee bar, kitchenette, and other common areas clean of their messes, including but not limited to spills, trash, and the cleanliness of their personal items;

i. Members agree to actively participate in the sustainability efforts of Revolutionary Coworking, including but not limited to recycling, energy conservation, waste reduction, and use of non-fossil fuel powered technologies and transit.

7. Other Terms and Conditions

As a condition of Members’ usage of the Services, Members agree to and understand the following terms and conditions:

a.  Revolutionary Coworking reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to ask

Members to remove any items that are unsightly or offensive;

b.  Pathways and means of egress and ingress are to be kept free of obstruction;

c.  The premises and workspace of Revolutionary Coworking is generally not open to the public and is reserved for Members, their guests and employees, and Revolutionary Coworking staff and employees only absent the express permission of Revolutionary Coworking;

d.  The conference room is reserved for Members only and, as such, will not be reserved by any Member on behalf of a third party;

e.  Revolutionary Coworking shall not be utilized as lodging or a residence by

Members or anyone else;

f. Members shall not introduce onto the premises or workspace of Revolutionary Coworking any device, appliance, or machinery without the express consent of Revolutionary Coworking, to include but not limited to personal heaters, air conditioners, humidifiers, dehumidifiers, air treatment devices, ovens, grills, stoves, hot plates, refrigerators, freezers, non- electric lighting (ie. Gas lamps or other such devices utilizing flammable liquid), additional wiring or network installations whether telephonic, fiber optic, electrical or otherwise;

g.  Cooking of food by Members shall be conducted solely on the kitchen equipment provided to Members by Revolutionary Coworking;

h.  Members shall not bring any flammable liquid onto the premises or workspace of Revolutionary Coworking;

i. Members shall not install any floor covering, furniture, or other such items unless approved by Revolutionary Coworking and in its sole discretion;

j. Members’ use of the Services and workspace shall keep the workspace and premises clean. No facilities or equipment shall be used in any manner other than its intended use. Any damages or extra janitorial services required by such misuse shall be borne by the offending Member;

k.  Members shall not interfere with the thermostat in the premises or workspace without the consent of Revolutionary Coworking;

l. No advertisements, pictures, photographs, or other such items shall be affixed to the walls of the premises or workspace without the consent of Revolutionary Coworking;

m. Members shall not copy any keys or access cards that may be provided by Revolutionary Coworking for their use of Services;

n.  Members shall not share any access codes or keys that may be provided by Revolutionary Coworking with any other person, including other Members but not including Member’s employees;

o.  Members shall actively maintain the confidentiality and security of any access codes and keys issued to them by Revolutionary Coworking;

p.  Members shall return any keys or access cards that have been given to them by Revolutionary Coworking on or before the date of termination of their use of the Services for which those keys or access cards have been provided;

q.  Members shall notify Revolutionary Coworking immediately if they know or come to believe that the confidentiality or security of their access codes or keys has been compromised so that Revolutionary Coworking may

disable them immediately and provide replacements as soon as possible. Revolutionary Coworking reserves the right to charge a replacement fee

for any reissued keys and codes, and will inform the Member in advance should any such fee be assessed;

r. All doors into the building shall remain closed and secured when Members enter or leave the building. Members shall not prop any doors open or otherwise use any potential points of ingress and egress in such manner

as to compromise the security or safety or Revolutionary Coworking’s premises or workspace;

s.  Members shall not utilize pictures of Revolutionary Coworking, its premises or workspace to promote or advertise their business without the prior written consent of Revolutionary Coworking;

t. Members shall not represent to any person, entity, or governmental agency that Revolutionary Coworking is their employer, employee, agent, or partner, nor shall they imply that Revolutionary Coworking’s premises or workspace is their residential address;

u.  Members shall immediately inform Revolutionary Coworking of any system fault or other problem at the premises that may present a safety or security risk or otherwise, by reason or logic, threatens to disrupt the use and enjoyment of Revolutionary Coworking’s premises and workspace for Members.
